The Anthurium Gallery

On the recent vacation to Cameron Highland we went to one of these Anthurium Plantation at Cameron Highland. Suddenly I have the interest to find out more about this flower...

About Anthurium

Anthuria are grown under shade cloth that blocks 80% of the light and are planted in volcanic cinders. Each shade house was approximately 2.5 acres with a planting density of 25,000 plants per acre. Plants will produce, on average, 6 inflorescences per plant during a year. The average production per shade house would be ca. 375,000 inflorescences per annum.
